![]() ![]() Here's my issue: I don't have any advanced settings tab. Confirm the speaker or headphone is detected or not. Confirm the output device is match with your Audio device(For example ,you insert Speaker, please select Speakers(Realtek(R) Audio)) Back to content. To do so, I had to open my Realtek Audio Manager and change some stuff in the Advanced Settings tab. 1.Confirm the Audio icon is mute or not ,if mute ,left click the Audio icon and set to on as below picture. an ASUS PRIME DTS Headphone:X v1 motherboard, so : You need Realtek Audio. Now comes my second issue: I read almost everywhere that to solve this issue, I had to split the speakers from the headphones. Disabling the Realtek HD audio manager or keeping it operational is a decision. Thus I tried researching online for solutions and found out it happened to many people. I check my playback devices and I found out the headphones and the speakers were counted as the same device - means that my headphones mic weren't working and the computer wasn't making a difference between the speakers and the headphones. When I tried to have a Skype conversation with a friend of mine though, the call automatically cancelled saying there was an issue with the audio port. I plugged them in my computer (an asus laptop) and they worked well - I could hear sounds and music and stuff into my headphones so I assumed everything was fine. Today I bought a pair of headphones from Razer: the Carcharias ones. ![]()
